NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts) was founded in 1980 and today has a modern campus of 10 buildings in one of the most dynamic areas of Milan.

The academy is officially accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research (MIUR) and issues bachelor's and master's degrees. NABA is affiliated with the Teatro alla Scala Academy and the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, and has close partnerships with prestigious design institutions such as the Central College of Art and Design of St. Martin (UK, London), University of Philadelphia, Rhode Island School of Design (USA, New York), Pratt Institute (USA, New York) and Nagoya University of the Arts (Nagoya).

The Academy takes part in projects organized in collaboration with companies such as Triumph, L'Oréal, Swarovski, Argo, Pirelli, Jacuzzi, Bosch, Xerox, Ferrero, Whirlpool, MTV, Radio Deejay, RedBull.

The Academy is especially proud of its teachers, renowned professionals in the field of design, as well as practicing designers from various fields.

NABA is located in Milan, the recognized capital of fashion, and therefore students have the opportunity to visit museums, production sites, design studios, company offices, gaining experience of communication in a professional environment. NABA alumni today collaborate with such companies as Armani, Versace, Swatch, Rochas, Trussardi, Leo Burnett, J. Walter Thompson, Pininfarina, and others and set new trends in the fields of fashion, interior design, landscape and graphic design.

Equipment

NABA is located in a newly renovated, architecturally outstanding industrial complex in the historic Navigli quarter, one of the nicest and most vibrant parts of the city in terms of culture and art. The campus with an area of ​​over 8,000 square meters is perfectly equipped with the necessary IT infrastructure, including laboratories for computer graphics, video editing, 2D and 3D modeling, sound design, tailoring workshops, painting studios, and light design laboratories. Nearby, on the Via Col de Lana, there are studios with the necessary equipment for working with plastic, wood and iron. The campus also houses the NABASITE Gallery, which hosts exhibitions of Italian and foreign artists, as well as the NABAR Cafeteria and the NABABOOK Library.

PROGRAM

Training is conducted in both English and Italian.

NABA's educational programs are divided into three main areas of study: visual arts, communication and design. In addition to the generally accepted disciplines (such as fine arts, painting, etc.), which are traditionally taught at the Academy of Arts, students study the work of contemporary designers, as well as the current concepts of contemporary art.

Bachelor's degree (training lasts 3 years)

• Design (product design, interior design).
• Graphic design (multimedia advertising, graphic design and brand design).
• Fashion design (fashion design, styling in the field of fashion and communication).
• Media design multimedia art (video and film production, animation and game design).
• Painting and fine arts (painting, fine arts).

Master (training lasts 2 years)

The Master of Arts degree programs are designed for students who wish to complete their five-year academic education. The programs provide for a deep scientific content and a high level of specialization; intensive project work will follow the theoretical part of the disciplines.

ACCOMMODATION

It is recommended to rent an apartment for a longer stay. Accommodation for 1 and 2 people. The university helps students find apartments in any area of Milan.
