The Grier School - boarding school for girls from grades 7 to 12 was founded in 1853 and is located in central Pennsylvania. Nearest major cities: Pittsburgh, Washington. This is a place where girls not only gain knowledge, but learn to think, listen, communicate and make decisions. Such qualities as responsibility, self-esteem and leadership skills are brought up here.
The summer camp has been run by the school since 1975 and originally functioned as a summer riding camp.

EQUIPMENT
Grier School is located in a calm and safe place surrounded by centuries-old trees, a vast green area of 131 hectares with picturesque nature create a favourable atmosphere for full learning, creative activities and sports. The school has comfortable dormitory rooms with bathrooms, a family-style dining room, a dance building with an area of 8000 sqm. with a theatre with 275 seats, two recording studios, professional lighting and sound systems. And also: a gym, an outdoor saltwater pool, a yoga studio, a library, a newly refurbished ceramics studio and an inspiring art studio. The school has excellent equipment for horse riding.
PROGRAM
School of Arts
Age: 7-17 years old
A 3-week program during which girls can engage in visual and theatrical art. Program participants can choose 4 courses from a wide range of classes offered. All classes are taught by professional teachers who work at Grier or are specially invited for the summer program.
Possible classes: ceramics, digital art, drawing and painting, watercolour, creative writing, photography, jewellery.
Dance school
Age: 12-17 years old
The program is designed for children who are seriously engaged in dancing and want to develop their dancing skills. Classes are held 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Classes include warming up and stretching, practicing ballet and jazz techniques, choreography. Almost any kind of dance is possible (ballet, hip-hop, modern dances, African dances, etc.)
For experienced dancers, a special intensive program is offered. The girls are engaged in 4.5 hours 5 days a week under the guidance of experienced dancers and choreographers.
Musical Theatre
Age: 10-17 years old
Program for girls who like to sing, dance and play on stage. Each lesson is a rehearsal, as a result of which the girls will present a grandiose show program - a musical in front of the entire school.
Riding school
Age: 7-17 years old
The Allegheny Riding Camp riding program has been around since 1975 and is designed for girls who love horses and want to ride horses. To ensure an individual approach to each girl, the school limits the number of participants in the program; accordingly, highly professional tutors have the opportunity to deal with each student almost individually.
At the beginning of the program, the level of preparedness of each participant in the program is determined and an individual lesson plan is drawn up.
In the summer camp, girls can not only learn how to ride a horse and work out existing skills, but also develop many personal qualities - independence, the ability to be friends and take care of others.
ACCOMMODATION
Residence in double rooms. Each room has a large bed, desk, wardrobe.
Three meals a day in the school cafeteria. Plus, girls are waiting for 2 snacks a day. The whole camp takes food at the same time. For girls there is always a large selection of fresh fruits, drinks, a salad bar and hot dishes.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
Participants in the summer program can also take part in various events - dancing, theatre, painting, sports. In the evenings, an activity program is carried out: gatherings around the campfire, games, crafts, sports, evening swimming.
