Key factors

  • The school accepts only a limited number of children in order to provide high quality services and give them attention and love.
  • Small classes that promote quick adaptation and individual development of capabilities.
  • Teachers are always attentive to the child and encourage his achievements.
  • An ethic of human respect and consideration that develops self-confidence.
  • Discipline in work, both on the part of the student and the teacher.
  • The school maintains close communication with parents and encourages joint activities between children and parents.
  • The child will be offered advice and help throughout his school life.
  • Our youngest client from Krasnodar, who arrived here in 2014, is 7 years old! He is very happy here.
  • We can provide telephone numbers of  parents whose children study or studied at this school.

Equipment

Play areas include a swimming pool, tennis court, golf, football field, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and a private ski lift.

The chalet (school building) was built to accommodate children with all amenities. The chalet has several classrooms, an entertainment room, a study room and a great hall. The bedrooms are spacious, with two to five beds. Additionally, the school has its own house, surrounded by old trees, often used as a base camp for environmental studies. An essential element in the school's sustainability program, the house has been renovated using natural materials such as wood.

Accommodation

The building where the children will live is made as comfortable as possible. It looks like a traditional Swiss chalet, and children live here in cozy, bright, spacious 2-5-bed rooms according to gender and age.

Children live at Pre Fleuri in an atmosphere of warmth and care, which not only helps them quickly adapt, but also develop systematically.

A team of teachers, mentors and professional sports instructors always monitors the children. The team also includes house maintenance staff. There is one adult for every three children.

In matters of health, the school relies on local pediatricians, doctors and other specialists when necessary.

We strive to create a warm and friendly atmosphere forour students. We form relationships based on respect for the individual and high moral principles. This is impossible without following school rules, which are drawn up specifically for teachers, children and parents.

Children should:

  • Always be polite and attentive.
  • Move calmly around the school grounds.
  • Be respectful of each other's property.
  • Be proud to study at this school.
  • Wear a school uniform during school, sports and extracurricular activities.
  • Be careful and take care of your appearance (chewing gum, earrings for boys, and nail polish for girls are prohibited at school). Those who do not comply with these rules may be suspended from classes and sporting events.
  • Behave calmly and reasonably.
  • Concentrate on getting the job done well and efficiently.
  • Listen to everything the teacher says.
  • Respect the work of others.
  • Take care of your school supplies and equipment in the classroom (each student is financially responsible for the equipment issued to him).
  • Treat classmates with respect, care and attention.

All attempted violations will be stopped immediately. Any child can report this to adults and they will promptly take action.

Sport

Sports at Pre Fleuri are closely linked to the curriculum. Sports allow children to develop and direct their energy towards improving their health, to develop physically and learn to work in a team. The first and third semesters offer athletics, gymnastics, judo, skating, volleyball and golf, while the second semester is dedicated to skiing. Participation in sports helps children be balanced and develop their natural talents.

Additional activities

Despite the strong emphasis on teaching disciplines, students have time for interest classes on Wednesday afternoons. Weekends: overnight trips to the mountains, hiking, theater, cinema, visiting a water park, reading and free time with friends.

Pre Fleuri believes that cultural events are an essential point for the development of a young person. The school stimulates children's curiosity and analytical skills, with a variety of exciting discoveries and explorations.

School trips complement the curriculum and provide an alternative to school. These include visits to museums, castles, exhibitions, shows, concerts, cinemas and theaters. The annual school trip is a very special event where children spend an unforgettable time with their teachers and friends. The school has already visited Ticino, Berne, Alsace or Savoie in France. Every year we choose a new direction.

The school curriculum includes weekly art lessons. Students have the opportunity to express their imagination through the visual arts, painting and sculpture, while theatre, music and dance stimulate their creativity. These lessons help inspire future talent.

Each semester has a special theme that is developed and applied as instruction in arts and crafts, artistic design, theater and cooking. Thus, during the day, the school is transported to the times of Catholics or knights, or turns into an Asian or African village.

Our expert’s impressions of the visitschools

The very first thing you involuntarily think about on the way to the Pre Fleuri school is the extraordinary landscape that opens up to your gaze! The school is located high in the mountains - in the town of Villar - which allows children to develop the skills of “young skiers” from childhood. The owner and director of the school is very passionate about alpine skiing, so children enjoy this sport every day in the winter!

But in general, since the school “educates” children from the age of 3 years, In addition to the academic component, an extremely important aspect is the fact that the teachers and school administration “light up” when it comes to their students. Of course, as in any Swiss school, there is a system and certain rules, but still there is more love and care, as always happens with kids. Therefore, in the eyes of children studying at Pre Fleuri, you can easily see happiness, even if they are far from their parents.

In addition, it can be noted that here children easily master not only English, in which most foreign students are taught, but also French, because after 16:00 the so-called “home time” begins. when daytime schoolchildren go home, and children staying at the boarding school must speak French with their “school parents.” Thus, by first mastering everyday vocabulary, kids easily learn the language and after just a couple of years, speak French almost perfectly at a level typical for children of their age!
