Sevenoaks School was founded in 1432 and is one of the oldest schools in England. The school is surrounded by a beautiful park and reserve where deer live.

The school is located on the outskirts of the small vibrant town of Sevenoaks in Kent. Sevenoaks is a cute, safe and friendly city, an ideal place for a quiet and fruitful study. Central London is just a 30-minute train ride away.

EQUIPMENT

PROGRAM

GSCE

The program for obtaining a certificate of general secondary education. 8 compulsory subjects and 2 elective subjects are studied.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

A two-year university preparatory program. The program is the gold standard in international pre-university education and perfectly prepares students for the best universities. Pupils choose 6 subjects, one from each group.

The IB program also includes:

  • 4,000-word extended research essay
  • The program “Creativity, Actions and Mutual Assistance” (program of creative, sports and social development)

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation in a residence. The school has 7 houses, 4 for high school students and 3 for high school students. High school students live 6-8 people in a room, while older students are provided with single and double rooms.

The houses are very comfortable, each house has a kitchen and a relaxation room. Mentors look after the children, and sporting, cultural and recreational activities are organized on weekends.

In the school theatre, students stage plays under the guidance of professional teachers. Students are fully involved in the entire production process: from the game to the creation of the scenery.

The art department of the school is open to creative students who want to learn how to create works of art. It has a very creative and inspiring atmosphere. You can do drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, animation, making films. Exhibitions of student works are regularly held. A group of schoolchildren organized the publication of an annual art magazine that publishes the works of the students themselves.

You can make music: take singing lessons or learn to play various musical instruments: the school holds 750 individual lessons per week! Students can play in an orchestra, sing in a choir or join one of the many school ensembles. Up to 50 concerts take place during the year.
