It is located in the vicinity of Canterbury Cathedral and the Abbey of St. Augustine and is protected by UNESCO.

The King’s School originated in the Middle Ages as a school at Canterbury Cathedral, and the legend relates its foundation tSt. Augustine, who, indeed, founded the abbey in which the school is still located.

King's School is a large campus in the beautiful surroundings of Canterbury Cathedral. Majestic buildings of the 13th century organically coexist with modern buildings, creating an atmosphere of comfort and cosiness, without violating historical value.

The UK's Best Schools Guide, The Good Schools Guide, writes of the school: “A thriving academic school in a sophisticated setting, saturated with history, with highly motivated students whare eager tlearn.”
