Centre International d'Antibes (CIA), founded in 1985, is today the leading language school in France specializing in teaching French as a foreign language. It offers year-round courses for adults, children and adolescents, family programs and summer language camps in various cities of the country: Antibach / Juan-les-Pins, Cannes, Hyeres, as well as with the support of partner schools in Paris, Nice and Biarritz.

The centre is accredited by the French government: it has the so-called quality mark FLE - a commission of three ministries of the country (higher education and science, culture and foreign affairs), which is engaged in certification of language schools. It is recognized by EAQUALS, the European Association for the Control of the Quality of Language Learning. CIA is also a member of SOUFFLE. This is an association of 16 language schools in France, Switzerland and Monaco, each of which is committed to providing customers with only the highest quality services.

The centre annually trains about 7000 students of 30 different nationalities.

Centre International d’Antibes is located in Antibes (75 thousand inhabitants) - a delightful resort town on the Cote d'Azur between Nice and Cannes. Sandy beaches, 300 sunny days a year, an abundance of flowers and greenery, a fun friendly atmosphere attract students from all over the world. All the sights of the French Riviera are nearby. In addition to the beauty of the landscape and architecture, the world jazz festivals, sailing regattas and all kinds of water sports competitions held here bring particular pleasure.

The city is located 10 kilometres from Cannes, 18 kilometres from Nice Airport and an hour's drive from Saint-Tropez. Antibes, together with the cape of the same name and the resort of Juan-les-Pins, form a single administrative unit.

The CIA centre in Antibes has two buildings. In spring and autumn, children study at a primary school, Le Chateau. It is located just a few minutes on foot from the centre of Antibes, on a hill with stunning views of the sea and the old city.

The CIA Antibes Centre offers children and teenagers several options for programs.

Standard courses.

General French for children 8-11 years old (only in summer).

20 French lessons per week and an active program of activities designed specifically for primary school children. Training takes place in groups of no more than 15 people.

General French for teens 12-17 years old

20 French lessons per week, allowing you to significantly expand your vocabulary and improve pronunciation. The course is designed to create a solid foundation of grammatical knowledge and four main components: listening, reading, writing and speaking. The course program focuses on using the French language in everyday situations. Training takes place in groups of no more than 15 people.

Intensive courses.

Intensive general French for teens 12-17 years old.

26 lessons of 45 minutes per week. The program includes 20 lessons of general French per week in the morning from Monday to Friday in groups of no more than 15 people (see above) and afternoon classes in mini-groups up to 8 people twice a week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Classes in mini-groups are focused solely on developing the skills of oral speech, are held in the form of speech and role-playing games. In practice, adolescents practice grammar questions that they studied in the morning lessons, learn to understand speech by ear, rephrase, and participate in debates.

Preparation for the DELF exam for adolescents 12-17 years old (only in the summer period on certain dates):

26 lessons of 45 minutes per week. The program includes 20 lessons of general French per week in the morning from Monday to Friday in groups of no more than 15 people (see above) and afternoon classes in mini-groups up to 8 people twice a week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Classes in mini-groups are dedicated exclusively to preparing for DELF oral and written tests. Duration - 2 weeks. Language level - not lower than A2 (preparatory intermediate).

Abiturkurs for teens 16-17 years old:

29 lessons of 45 minutes per week. The program includes 20 lessons of general French per week in the morning from Monday to Friday in groups of no more than 15 people (see above) and afternoon classes in groups of up to 10 people 3 times a week. Afternoon lessons are devoted exclusively to preparing students for the Abitur French exam: listening comprehension (short interviews, dialogue, information, etc.), reading (media articles, literary texts), writing (short text, comments, reasoning and etc.). Duration - 2 weeks. Language level - not lower than B1 (average).

Combined courses - French plus sports / dancing and excursions.

The combined Dance & Fitness and Sailing Plus courses for adolescents 12-17 years old - is offered only in the summer period. Programs include:

• 20 lessons of general French per week in the morning from Monday to Friday in groups of no more than 15 people (see above);
• Afternoon classes on the selected profile 5 times a week (dancing and fitness or sailing);
• 1 full day excursion per week (full day excursion to Nice, half day excursion to Cannes and a theme park).

The supplement for the combined course is 120 (Dance & Fitness) or 220 (Sailing Plus) euros per week.

Also, in the summer for children aged 8-17, a VIP program of the language courses Premium Juan-Les-Pins Prestige is offered, including training in mini-groups, improved accommodation and an exclusive program of events.

ACCOMMODATION

1. Outside the summer period (spring and autumn), accommodation is provided at the Castel Arabel residence, located a 20-minute walk from the school and a short walk from the city centre and beaches in the Juan-les-Pins area. The residence has a small pool, TV room, restaurant and beautiful gardens. Students live in 2-4-bed rooms with a shower. Single occupancy is available for a fee. Bed linen is provided at the residence (changes once a week). Towels are not provided. Easy cleaning is carried out daily, general once a week.
2. In summer, accommodation is organized on the Horticole campus or on the Leonardo Da Vinci campus located in different parts of Antibes: Horticole near the city centre (15 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by bus), Leonardo - 15 minutes by bus.

Horticole is a large 20,000 m² campus set amid flowering gardens in the residential quarter of Antibes. Its equipment includes classrooms, rooms for students, a mobile swimming pool, a cafeteria, a relaxation room with a TV, an amphitheatre, sports grounds, etc. French lessons are held right on campus. Accommodation for 2-4 people in a room (single for an additional fee). Showers and toilets on each floor. Bed linens are provided and changed every week. Towels are not provided. Easy cleaning is carried out daily, general cleaning once a week. On the territory there is a swimming pool, cafe, sports grounds. For an additional fee, single occupancy is possible. Leonardo Da Vinci  - a spacious campus (area - 37,000 m²), opened in 2007 and built by a pine forest, has identical amenities: classrooms, living rooms, a mobile swimming pool, a cafeteria, a room recreation with TV, amphitheatre, sports grounds. French lessons take place right on campus. Accommodation for 3 people in a room (single for an additional fee). Showers are in the rooms, toilets on each floor. Bed linens are provided and changed every week. Towels are not provided. Easy cleaning is carried out daily, general cleaning once a week. On the territory there is a swimming pool, cafe, sports grounds. For an additional fee, single occupancy is possible. Bed linen is provided at the residence (changes once a week). Meals are full board. In the summer, children eat in the cafeteria on their campuses, the rest of the time, breakfast and lunch are served in the school cafeteria, and dinners are served in the residence. Students living in foster families have breakfast and dinner in the family, and lunch at school on weekdays. During the excursions, a packaged lunch is provided.
