Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls is a private boarding school for girls, located in the centre of the small old town of Monmouth. The school was founded in 1892. The picturesque area where the school is awarded the status of "Area of magnificent natural beauty." Monmouth is a safe town with a population of 10 thousand people. Recognized as the third UK city in terms of living.

The school is part of a family of schools known as the Haberdashers` Monmouth Schools. This also includes the Monmouth School for boys. Many activities take place with the boys, and in high school, many lessons are held together. A school for boys and a school for girls are located opposite each other.

Excellent educational programs and a warm family atmosphere of the school allow girls to achieve high academic results, grow up mature, successful and self-confident. The inspirational atmosphere of the school, the constant support of teachers and mentors allows girls to achieve impressive results and enter the selected universities.

About 610 students’ study at the school.

Arguments in favour of a separate training for girls are as follows:

  • Girls develop physically and emotionally somewhat faster than boys; they do not have to adapt to the "lagging" classmates.
  • Girls, as a rule, are more self-organized and have better discipline, girls' teams are better organized and focused on learning.
  • “Amorous affairs” do not distract from study.
  • Girls grow up independent and do not expect someone to do “non-female work” for them.

The competitive environment attracts little and sometimes depresses girls, who value support and teamwork much more.
