Stonyhurst Language School was established in 2012 at Stonyhurst College, a British boarding school founded in 1593. The school is located in beautiful scenic countryside. Pupils will feel in the heart of Britain, will plunge into its history and culture. The school is located near Liverpool and Manchester, from here you can quickly get to the legendary Lake District.
In the summer, the school conducts its own program for foreign students who want to improve their English and spend an unforgettable vacation in an international environment.

EQUIPMENT
The college is literally breathing history. Its old buildings are national architectural monuments and constitute a magnificent ensemble surrounded by beautiful gardens and parks.
The school has modern equipment: all-season sports fields, a large indoor pool, tennis courts (open and closed), a shooting range, a golf course, a large sports hall, playing fields, an observatory, and fishing ponds. The school has a magnificent library, lounges, classrooms, a computer class.
PROGRAM
English
The program includes 23 hours of English per week. 2 times a week, 45 minutes are allotted to homework with the support of teachers. Once a week, meetings are held where students can discuss problems encountered with their studies with the teacher and formulate strategies for solving them.
Classes are held in groups of 5 different levels: from beginners to advanced. Children study grammar, reading, writing, replenish vocabulary, practice spoken English. Training methods include group work, role-playing games, research, presentations, Quiz games, interviews, seminars, and educational excursions.
At the end of the course, each student receives a certificate and a report on academic performance and progress.
Tennis Academy
The course combines learning English with interactive tennis training for international students. The program includes 17 hours a week of English lessons and 15 hours of tennis.
The duration of the course is 2 or 4 weeks. A combined program is possible at a 4-week course: 2 weeks - English + activity, 2 weeks - classes at the Tennis Academy.
Pupils will join the language school in the morning, as well as evening activities and excursions. And in the afternoon, from 13:55 to 17:30 there will be intensive tennis training in the new indoor tennis dome of the college, provided by our team of coaches LTA Senior Performance Tennis and Academy.
The course is aimed at students who have a basic understanding of the methods, movements and rules of the game. An elementary level of English proficiency is also required.
Stonyhurst scholars’ programme
Global students with advanced (C1 – C2 CEFr grading), fluent, or native English ability. The aim of the Stonyhurst Scholars’ Programme is to allow students to:

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD
Accommodation in a modern comfortable residence. In 2017, the residence was renovated at a cost of 1 million pounds. Children live in single and double rooms. Each student has their own closet, chest of drawers and a desk with a chair. The rooms have a shower.
Meals in the school cafeteria, where there is always a very large selection of dishes. There is a separate menu for children with allergies and special diets. On the tour, children receive a packed lunch.

After the lessons in the class, students choose a hobby for themselves. The school offers a wide selection of sports activities and games:
