English at teacher’s home

A unique opportunity to live and study in a teacher’s family in the UK. Location - Surrey, the most prestigious county in the UK, a 30-minute drive from London Waterloo Station.

A year-round program, valid all year, except for British school holidays in the fall, winter and spring, and also closed the last two weeks of August.

The MacDonald family consists of 4 people:

Natasha - teaches chemistry, physics, biology and additionally Russian at an English boarding school for girls. She was qualified as a teacher at a university in England and has been teaching in English schools for over 10 years. He is working on his Ph.D. thesis on the features of education in England. Hobbies: skiing, golf, marathon and swimming, loves to travel, as well as visiting exhibitions and theatres. Teaches children at home for more than 10 years.

Calvin is a chef and restaurateur by profession (trained in a restaurant with a Michelin star, owns and operates 15 restaurants). He worked as a chef for the English Prime Minister, also associated with education: he teaches a course in restaurant and hotel business at Kingston University. He cooks great. Currently receiving a Ph.D. in business. He is a soldier of the reserve army. Hobbies: skiing, golf. Kelvin takes care of the material, technical and sports and social aspects of the stay of children.

James (15 years old) is a confident boy, fluent in Russian and English. Studying at the prestigious Royal Grammar School (one of the top 5 boys' schools in the UK). During the summer holidays, she works in a language school, conducts a course of conversational English with foreigners. Studying in the 3rd grade of a music school, skiing, playing hockey, participating in school competitions. His goal is to become a veterinarian and work with animals.

Sasha (13 years old) is a creative boy, speaks a little Russian, is fluent in English. Like his brother, he studies at the Royal Grammar School. Studying in the 6th grade of a music school, preparing to receive a diploma. He plays great on saxophone and pipe. Playing golf, skiing, participating in school competitions. He does not know what he will do after school, but probably his area of ​​interest will be related to music. Both sons received scholarships at school.

A dog also lives in the house.

EQUIPMENT

The family house is located in a suburb of London, Guildford. The house is located on a private street, where other people's cars do not call, in the prestigious and most expensive place in addition to London in England - the county of Surrey.

The house is large, the house has billiards, table tennis, a sauna and a jacuzzi in the garden. The house is surrounded on three sides by fields and forest, but only a 15-minute walk to the centre of the historic city of Guildford.

A direct train runs from Guildford to London, about half an hour's drive.

PROGRAM

Over the years, the family has drawn up a number of programs considering the age and interests of the child, as well as the season in which the child arrived to study. The program includes 10 English lessons per week. The number of classes may be increased (additional charge).

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD

The family will live in Surrey, the most prestigious county in Great Britain, in a large house on a private street. The house has a living room, dining room, billiard room, sauna and jacuzzi in the garden.

ENTERTAINMENT ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS

June is the best time to visit England. This is the season of sporting events. The program includes visits to polo, tennis, rowing, horse riding, auto racing and cricket matches - and these are just some of the competitions taking place at this time!

Children will play golf, bowling, tennis, cricket, ride a bicycle and go hiking, learn rowing and horse riding. They will also attend cooking classes, where they will learn how to cook sushi, pizza and chocolate.

The program includes cultural and educational trips with sightseeing: Windsor Castle, Royal Brighton Pavilion, National Museum of History, Science Park, Winchester Planetarium, theme parks, oceanarium, Madame Tussauds and much more.

July is a month of active outdoor activities. Collaboration with a company that organizes outdoor activities for children allows you to fully integrate into the British environment. The child will quickly develop his English and at the same time have fun with other British children.

The following courses are offered: survival lessons in the forest, creative activities (painting and ceramics), sports and team games.

Children live with the McDonald family, in the morning they are taken to classes, and taken home for lunch. The family lives a 10-minute walk from the venue. After lunch, English classes, cooking, sports or other events are held.

August is a month of preparation for training. The family is familiar with specialist teachers in various educational fields. An individual program will be created for the child that meets his needs, regardless of whether the child will study at a British school or wants to improve his English and knowledge in certain subjects. The family will make every effort to achieve their goals. Evening activities and weekend activities will revitalize the mind and relax before the upcoming classes.
