But the director of Sandroid – he is also a caring head of the school. Our director, for example, knew our entire family and even the name of our pet. At the same time, the director sang verses about each graduate at the farewell party. This is instead of a parting speech.
Sandroid – small, caring school – ideal for primary school children. The child will receive not only a good education, but also psychological comfort. Bording and the school are located in the same building. The child does not have to walk between buildings, as in large schools. There is a nurse at the school 24 hours a day and there is a doctor every day. The nurse will be able to ensure control over the child.
But you must be prepared that when entering school in England, you need to prepare not only academically, but also to harden the child. Since simple snot and colds are carried on the legs, and no one bothers about this. As a result, children harden, become stronger and healthier. After a year, my son with constant colds became much healthier and stopped getting sick often. Of course, the first year was very difficult.
What do you need for successful studies? Sorry for the banality, readiness to plow. They study 6 days a week. In junior school from 9 to 6 o'clock. Including daily sports games for 2 hours and activities. Your child will not have time to play on the computer.
Good English is needed. Before enrolling, it is better for the tutor to be an English teacher from England (possibly via Skype). He must know the requirements of the English program. As for the rest, our children can easily compete with everyone.
Of course, it is very difficult for children to endure separation. But your child is not the only one at school. In Sandroid for the last 2 years – This is just boarding for all children, including English ones, even if you live 20 minutes away, they will let you go home on Sunday and that’s it. Therefore, the child will get used to it. The school takes the psychological environment very seriously and monitors healthy communication between children.
After Sandroyd school, my son entered Andl school. Where I really appreciated the level of preparation, since he easily continued his studies there. And studying at Andl school is considered difficult.
Oundle school – high school, where children study from 11 years old until university. This is a very large school, where a child comes with good motivation to learn, we received this motivation in Sandroid. Every year, 20-30 children out of 100 graduates go to Cambridge and Oxford, the rest to Russell group universities. The school is nevertheless caring but will treat your child as a mature teenager. And don’t rush around with him like a chicken and an egg, like in elementary school. Andla's student can now take responsibility for himself. And for the first month we got punished for being late to classes. But the child will have nowhere to go, he will have to learn to be punctual.
Andl is located in the town of the same name – very small and safe. There is no harmful influence of the city, but there is an opportunity to buy goodies in the store and drink a cocktail or coffee in a cafe. Treat yourself to a burger on Sunday if you're tired of the cafeteria. Where the food, by the way, is very tasty, and my son is picky.
The teachers in Sandroid and Andla are strict, but they are down-to-earth and caring, loving their work and children. English schools are motivating, and children really enjoy studying there. Enjoy studying and be happy while gaining knowledge — this is about Andl and Sandroyd. The lessons are so interesting that my son loves to study. He likes the lessons, likes the teachers. He is ready to study, and they study until 6, and then there is homework. Therefore, you must be ready to plow and keep the load. But they like it because they like the process itself. A luxurious scientific building with excellent laboratories, better equipped than our universities. Everything is available - electronice microscopes, wind tunnel and much more. The lessons are very interesting; in a biology lesson, the digestive system was studied by cutting up a rat.
Design and technology is equipped with all kinds of machines and 3D printers. They are currently working on a model of a racing car. A team of 3 people develops the design and project on a computer, the technical part, and there is even a person responsible for promoting the product. My son learned French and started learning German. The modern world is small, and in order to find your place in it and not get lost, you need an education that can create competition in the global market.
Every school has theater and art classes, where your child will open up creatively. Sports fields, swimming pool – a lot of sports sections. Gadgets have no place in children's lives. Phones are given for 2 hours in the evening, and everything is confiscated.
Schools provide opportunities for development not only academic. My son passed one of the Lamda exams – London Academy of Music and Drama. High levels of this exam help you get additional bonuses when entering college. Now my son is participating in the Duke of Edinburgh's program, which includes volunteer work in his hometown for the benefit of society.
