The traditional, classical Sutton Valence Senior School is a boarding school for co-education of boys and girls aged 11 to 18 years.

The school was founded in 1576 by William Lambe, which makes it one of the oldest schools in the UK. Sutton Valence is located on the outskirts of Maidstone, Kent, in southeast England, about an hour's drive from London. Heathrow International Airport is a 45-minute drive away.

PROGRAM

GCSE

A two-year program for obtaining a certificate of general secondary education. Required to study 6 subjects, 4 subjects are studied by choice.

A-level

A two-year university preparatory program. Pupils choose 3 or 4 subjects for in-depth study.

The school has a Pre-A-level program, designed for foreign students 15-17 years old. This is an effective academic and language training, the active development of educational skills, critical and analytical thinking - everything that can help children to successfully learn in the A-level course in the future.

The school organizes visits to the admissions office in Cambridge and Oxford (Oxbridge). Both students and parents are invited here, they talk about the application process and entry requirements. University visits are also organized. Oxbridge is a highly competitive arena, and Sutton Valence wants students to receive full support in their endeavours. Students who wish to apply for Oxbridge are assigned a subject tutor to deepen their knowledge of the subject, as well as attending weekly meetings with other candidates.

ACCOMMODATION

Full board at Sutton Valence is a special, rewarding and life-changing experience. It can be considered as an extremely important springboard between the house and the outside world.

In the school, in addition to 1 house for younger students and 4 houses for senior students in full-time education, there are 4 cosy boarding houses. High school students are offered 1-bed rooms, and for younger students - rooms for 2-3 people. The houses have a shared kitchen, self-study classes, a games room with board games, a living room for socializing and relaxing.
