St. Edmunds College is one of the leading UK coeducational schools. Located on 400 acres of private land in East Hertfordshire, a 30-minute drive from London towards Cambridge. The school is located on a hill surrounded by beautiful parks. Its windows offer beautiful views of the cathedral.

One of the main priorities of the school is strict Catholic education. Despite more than 400 years of tradition, the school accepts students of any faith who are willing to live and study in accordance with Catholic values. On the territory of the college there is a beautiful old chapel Pugin Chapel, which plays an important role in the spiritual and cultural education of all members of the school community. The chapel was designed by the same architect who built the Houses of Parliament in London.

The program for obtaining a certificate of secondary education. The program includes 7 compulsory subjects and 3 additional subjects of choice.

A-level

Sixth Form two-year university preparatory program. In the first year, 4 subjects are studied, and the second - 3 subjects. Subjects are selected depending on the chosen university and faculty.

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD

Accommodation in one of the comfortable residences on the school grounds. Boys and girls live separately. The residences have a warm, homely atmosphere. The rooms are cosy and bright. They have everything necessary for living: a bed, a wardrobe, a desk, a sink. The rooms are single and double. Single rooms are provided to high school students. All rooms are equipped with wireless internet. Shower and toilet on the floor. Each house has a lounge with TV and DVD, where boys and girls can gather in the evenings, and a kitchen where snacks and drinks can be prepared. In each residence lives a teacher who is responsible for the safety of children.

Meals in the school cafeteria. A varied and balanced diet is guaranteed.

SPORT

Sport is an important part of children's development in St. Edmunds. Sports activities from an early age allow you to form a guideline on a healthy lifestyle. The school can engage in more than 15 sports. Boys: rugby, football, cricket, athletics, tennis. Girls: hockey, netball, baseball, tennis, athletics. And also: swimming, golf, table tennis, cross-country running, aerobics, gymnastics, Irish dancing, horse riding, rowing, badminton, basketball.

There are professional trainers at the school who will help students form a program of classes and achieve impressive results.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES

Enormous opportunities open up for students in the school to unleash their potential and develop their talents. Schoolchildren can engage in design, theatre, directing, animation, can play in an orchestra, engage in rhetoric, website design, attend a club of wildlife lovers and much more.

The school has a very strong musical background. 270 students learn to play musical instruments. For music classes in St. Edmund’s equipped separate wing of the school building. There are 10 rehearsal halls where lessons on playing various instruments are held. You can come here at any time to work out, prepare for lessons or just play your favourite works. In addition to practical exercises, students are taught a course in music theory, they learn to record music on a computer, make electronic arrangements and use the opportunity of electronic instruments.

Pupils play in the school theatre and take part in the play, which takes place once a year in the local (not school) theatre. Performances gather a full audience hall.
