IMPRESSIONS OF THE STAFF OF PARADISE COMPANY ON VISITING THE SCHOOL

Светалана НоготковаSvetlana Nogotkova
Administrative and Visa Specialist and Boarding School Consultant
info@paradise-travel.ru

We have been cooperating with the boarding school Felsted School for several years, and finally I had the great honour to visit it personally.

First of all, I visited the school campus, which occupies most of the eponymous small cosy village. All buildings were built at different times, for example, the oldest of them has been reporting since the 16th century! Now there are music classes.

Significant anniversaries are given special attention. On the 400th birthday, the Queen Mother herself arrived at the school. And 50 years later, in 2014, Queen Elizabeth visited the school in honour of the opening of a new residence house for girls. The school proudly keeps in mind this significant event, as the photos on the walls of the main building say.

But despite the impressive difference in years, all the buildings are a wonderful architectural ensemble, and moving from one to another is a pleasure, because the view offers such pleasant views.

I just fell in love with a residence for girls. She is run by a super-energetic, super-caring, moderately strict, but very kind house-mother, Mrs. Sofia McGuire, by the way, part-time chemistry teacher. In private British schools, this is the norm for employees to carry out different duties and thereby be closer to children. From the happy faces of the girls it was immediately evident that here they feel at home, surrounded by love and attention. Today, in between classes, they rushed to the shared kitchen with great trepidation to bake a birthday cake for their classmate.

This residence is inferior in technical equipment and size to a new house for girls, but its warmth warms at first glance so much that one wonders why for many customers it is so important only to have amenities in the room.

In total, the school has 8 houses for students, and they all follow the single principle of the highest care for children, which is achieved by a huge number of staff. “Yes, it is not cheap,” says the headmaster of all school boarding, “but the happiness of the children is above all.”

Mr. Clifford Palmer, the director of the boarding, made a tour of the house for the oldest boys with his little charming daughter, Lucinda, who goes to Felstead preparatory school. By the way, most Felstead employees educate their children here. They live nearby, so they go to school as full-time students, however, the children themselves are asked to get ahead of them on a full board for more immersion in the life of the school. I do not want to part with Felstead for a minute.
