Chatham Grammar school — a school for girls from 11 to 19 years old (both boys and girls study in the senior classes). It was founded in 1907. The school's lead sponsor is the University of Kent. Chatham Grammar – it is part of the university's academic trust (UKAT).

As a UKAT Academy, students at the school have access to a range of university resources. These include: graduate and postgraduate students who mentor and coach students, supporting them in their studies, campus visits, participation in a range of university-led study programs, access to the university's international campuses and extra-curricular activities.

The school stimulates and motivates to achieve outstanding academic results, develops thinking, learning and communication skills, thereby creating a solid foundation for a successful future. There is an awareness here of the enormous social and emotional pressures that are placed on young women today. Sport

Pupils can take part in sports activities aimed at physical, mental, social and moral development. The school has many sports clubs; students participate in competitions with other schools and successfully win! This positive and determined approach has led to many successes, with Chatham school winning numerous school games and also winning the Medway Sports Awards for secondary schools. This award was given for a large selection of sporting events and clubs.

Additional activities

This program is for students in grades 7, 8 and 9, which is designed to help develop self-confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills, allowing students to become successful leaders of the future. The program includes four modules:

  • Critical Thinking
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Public speaking
  • Relaxation skills

The program is interactive and creative, aimed at developingpractical leadership habits and life skills: the ability to take responsibility, set goals, plan, share success, listen, be able to work in a team.

Students have many opportunities for extracurricular activities. The program includes a number of activities to develop and expand interests and experience. These include: LAMDA Arts (London Academy of Music and Drama) qualifications, chess, debate, music, textiles, creative writing, public speaking, first aid, relaxation classes. As well as sporting events: netball, badminton, athletics, rugby and many others. There is an opportunity to do charity work at school.

Pupils in Year 9 and above can take part in the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and undertake the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) programme. Both of these programs are excellent for developing teamwork, leadership skills, perseverance and dedication.

The school believes that positive, healthy thinking is an integral part of success in the modern world. The school provides access to a range of innovative health programs: therapeutic counselling, mindfulness programs and work with our fabulous super-friendly dog ​​therapy with an adorable dog named Blu.

Mindfulness practices  – Scientifically proven method helps reduce stress and anxiety, increase focus, concentration and the ability to be more in the present moment, enjoying the present, and not living in the past or needlessly worrying about the future. These are important skills for studying, for exams, and for life, which are very useful for students to master.

Travel and cultural experiences are key to growth and development, which is why the school organizes a number of adventure activities:
