Brighton college – British boarding school, founded in 1845. The school has an ideal location on the south coast of England. The beautiful campus is located in the center of Brighton, next to the sea and a short walk from the famous Brighton Pier. The school is located just 25 minutes from London Gatwick Airport and 75 minutes from London Heathrow Airport. To the center of London – 50 minutes by train.

GCSE

Two-year program to obtain a certificate of general secondary education. 6 subjects are required to study, 4 subjects are studied electively.

A-level

Two-year program to prepare for entering the university. Students choose 4 or 5 subjects for in-depth study.

Accommodation and accommodation

Accommodation in a residence on the territory  schools. There are 6 modern houses for living here. Each house has a kitchen, a computer lab, and a living room where children get together to chat or watch a movie. New House, a girls' home, received a RIBA architecture award and was longlisted for the prestigious Stirling Award. The school has an apprentice-led interior design program led by a team of London's finest designers.

For children living in the residence, a whole program of activities is held: dance lessons, football, hockey, netball and tennis classes in the evenings at local clubs. The school also runs a program of evening activities: badminton, cooking club, board games, walks, French club, film club and movie nights, yoga and zumba. Staff are always enthusiastic about encouraging students to come up with new ideas for evening activities and clubs.

Sport

The school believes that all students should have the opportunity to participate in sport, regardless of their ability. By devoting time and attention to those who are less confident, as well as those with more experience, the school develops life skills that will lead to success beyond school. Sport can be studied as a subject in GCSE and A-level programs.

Over 50 matches take place every week. On weekends, school teams compete against other large schools. Teams also participate in national competitions, and tours and camps take place in all sports, sometimes in other countries.

Main sports: rugby and cricket for boys; netball, hockey and cricket for girls. Also available: athletics, football, swimming, running, tennis, horse riding, fencing, golf, squash, rounders, squash, volleyball and beach volleyball

Additional activities

Brighton College has over 100 interest clubs. From beach volleyball to board games, from programming to choir – Every child has the opportunity to take part in the rich extracurricular life of the school. Students will find support in starting a new club if they want.

The school has a debate club, where the children are coached by a former speaker of the Oxford Union, who has experience participating in the World and European University Debating Championships. Children can participate in debates at competitions such as: LSE Schools, Oxford Schools, Cambridge Schools and International Young Debating Competition. Model United Nations — another popular event, with the opportunity to participate in conferences.

The school believes that participation in the arts is vital to the development of each child's creativity and individuality. It enlivens and complements academic life. The arts program features a variety of music, dance and theater events that everyone can take part in. Including an annual musical in November, ongoing music concerts and art exhibitions, and student-produced plays.

Students engage in photography, painting, sculpture, drawing, video production, installations and contemporary art. The school's Arts Center has dedicated learning areas for photography, ceramics, life drawing, printmaking and textiles. Pupils' work is regularly on display in the school's Burstow Gallery. As well as regular visits from artists and photographers, specialist workshops, gallery visits and filming locations are held throughout the year.

Classes in design and technology are popular at school. They develop students' critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think like entrepreneurs. Children are taught practical and creative skills in working with various materials and technologies. The school's connections with industry alloworganize trips to factories abroad. A number of graduates study design-related fields after school, including architecture, engineering, games and product design. The school pays attention to functionality, aesthetics and user needs. This allows students to create often award-winning products ready for the market. 3D printing, lathes and milling machines, wood turning and laser cutting — Here are just some of the exciting processes students go through when creating their next creation.

Dancing at the school attracts both experienced dancers and beginners who want to express their creativity. From jazz and ballet to tap, modern and contemporary dance, there are classes for every taste. The students have won numerous awards in dance competitions. There are many opportunities for performances  for example, together with the theater department, dancers participate in the annual school musical. There is also a show at the Theater Royal, the Sixth Form Strictly Come Dancing charity event and the very popular Brighton Dome dance show, which is performed in front of an audience of 1,300 people.

Theater classes are very popular at school. There are four big performances throughout the year. For those who don't want to be the center of attention, participation in the roles of director, costume designer, sound designer, special effects operator and props designer is offered. It's more than just a show: it's another way the school brings students together as a team, fosters collaboration and community.

The school has an excellent music department. Every week, more than 25 ensembles rehearse at the music school to prepare for the 70 concerts, competitions and events that take place each year. Many students go on to study music at the Royal Academy of Music Oxbridge and Trinity College London. The school provides vocal lessons and also teaches playing all orchestral instruments, classical and electric guitar, harp, piano and organ. Over 60% of students take private lessons from a highly qualified team of 40 guest music teachers. Lessons take place in one of fifteen specially built study rooms.
