The school is located in a beautiful corner of the green county of Surrey, in a convenient proximity to major highways, railways and airports, just forty minutes from central London.

The school firmly believes in the comprehensive development of students and takes care of their needs both in the educational process and outside the classroom. In addition to the comprehensive school curriculum, students are involved in numerous extracurricular activities, clubs, sporting events, trips to nearby places and long-distance expeditions. The school discovers abilities and talents that students were not even aware of. The school reveals their inner potential.

The school is proud that, as a not-so-large school, it has experience and the ability to create an environment that allows you to pay maximum attention to each student during class. The school is also well known for its exceptionally attentive approach to caring for the physical and spiritual health of students.

Of the 425 students, 60% are those who attend school and live at home. 40% of our students live in a boarding school. 25% of students represent more than 25 countries.

The international aspect of the school is important in terms of the approach to education, which distinguishes Box Hill from other schools. Parents of students recognize the benefits of communication between children from different cultures. Such coeducation allows students to get to know the world better.

PROGRAM

International Training Centre

The staff of the International Centre for Education (IOC) of Box Hill School is doing everything possible to ensure that every child has a painless transition from living at home to living in a boarding school in the UK.

The IUEC is a kind of bridge that establishes for your child a link between the education system in his home country and the independent education system in the UK. With its help, favourable conditions are created for the adaptation of foreign students to life in a boarding school and to the educational system in England.

The school offers its students admission to the full program at the level most suitable for their knowledge of English. Students study in small groups either in the English program or in the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education - MOSSSO) until they are ready to move to general classes.

  • English program for younger students (Junior English program)
  • Pre-IB Preparatory Program
  • Biennial IGCSE Program
  • Pre-Sixth Form Course

Pupils involved in the IUEC live in a boarding school with children from the UK and other countries. They participate in school life and are therefore fully integrated. The International Learning Centre is a separate, but at the same time integral part of the school.

GCSE

He is assisted by an assistant, nurses, teachers and other staff members of the school, always ready to provide support.

Each student has a personal tutor. This is a teacher who helps him in educational matters and monitors his overall development. The groups led by mentors have different ages, and this helps to establish friendships, provide mutual support, and develop a sense of responsibility.

The school has created a special site for parents to help them keep abreast of how their children are doing. It is called `` In contact with parents. '' It provides the latest news at home, blogs, comments on homework, information about exams and their results. The site also gives parents the opportunity to discuss with the Head of the House and teachers any questions and problems that interest them.

Choosing a future school for the child is probably one of the most important and difficult decisions facing parents. It is doubly difficult if the child will study abroad.
