International Summer Camp and Junior Golf Academy at Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz. Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is one of the best schools in Switzerland. Here, children will meet new friends from many countries of the world, improve their language skills, relax and play sports in the fresh air of the Engadin at an altitude of 1750 meters above sea level.

The Summer Camp is a combination of language classes or digital skills lessons and various free-time activities. In the mornings, participants learn German, English or French or immerse themselves in the digital skills world with robotics and programming courses. In the afternoon, they can look forward to an enriching programme according to their interests – all in the breathtaking scenery of the Swiss Alps.

EQUIPMENT

The school campus covers an area of ​​130 thousand square meters and includes 12 school buildings, 5 residences for 213 students, 50 classrooms and scientific laboratories, an assembly hall, a media centre, two dining rooms, a sports hall, 2 football fields, 6 tennis courts, a cricket ground, golf courses, 2 skating rinks, a fitness room and gym, a theatre hall.

PROGRAM

Language classes

In the mornings, classes are English, French or German. Classes are held not only in the classroom: children constantly practice the language, communicating with peers, on excursions and activities. Learning in real conditions is the best way to quickly start speaking a foreign language!

Upon arrival at the camp, students pass a language test, on the basis of which there is a distribution into groups in accordance with the level of the language. The program includes 15 English lessons per week. In the mornings from 9 to 12, students attend German and English classes in small groups (up to 10 people) with highly qualified teachers from the Zurich language school. In the evening, 45 minutes is devoted to preparing homework.

Acting

The course is taught by actor, screenwriter and director Gian Franco, a graduate of Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, who starred in the film "Ocean's 11". He will conduct acting workshops for children.

The program includes the following topics:

• Exercises for the development of the body and spirit
• Playing on stage and playing on camera
• Development of the plot and character of the hero
• Game for film and television (tags, eye lines, blinking)
• Collaboration with the director and understanding of the film
• Public speaking
• Improvisation
• Listening techniques

Digital technology

The course is for children who dream of creating their own computer game or find out how the computer works and works. We study software, design applications and computer games, building robots, security when working on the Internet.

Golf

Participants who book our golf programme can expect a 3-hour training session every day in a small group of up to 10 players. A well-maintained 18-hole golf course is within walking distance of the school and offers a breathtaking view of the Swiss Alps. All levels of ability are welcome here – from absolute beginners to players with handicaps. Qualified Swiss PGA Pros from Golf Engadin St. Moritz give the training sessions at the Summer Camp. These are individually adapted to the performance level. The offer is aimed at kids between the ages of 10 and 16.

Football

Every day during the two-week camp, the coaches will host approximately 18 training sessions for junior players of every level. The highly-trained professional coaches, with years of experience, from Milan Academy Junior Camp will take all of the students, both boys and girls, through their state-of-the-art, technical training sessions on the pitch. All participants will develop new skills, hone existing talents and learn real team values. Here are a few of the skills and activities that players will practise every day as a group during the camp:

Sport

Cable park, hiking, mountain biking, soccer, volleyball, swimming, sailing, tennis, dancing, yoga. Sports are held not only at the school’s wonderful sports grounds, but also in the lap of nature - in the unique beauty of the Engadin valley with its majestic mountain ranges, crystal clear azure lakes, winding silver rivers.

ACCOMMODATION

Children live in 1 and 2 local rooms for people. Girls and boys are separated. All rooms are equipped with modern furniture, there are common lounges, fully equipped kitchens, as well as shared shower rooms. Three meals a day, washing of bed linen and personal belongings - once a week.

ENTERTAINMENT ACTIVITIES

Watching movies, dancing and music evenings, playing billiards and much more.

Excursions

Studying at a summer school is combined with an interesting pastime. In addition to sports on weekends, all students go on excursions. Depending on the weather and the interests of the guys, this can be:
