Thompson Rivers State University was founded in 1970. It is the youngest university in British Columbia, which is in the process of transformation (in particular, it is planned to merge with the provincial correspondence university BC Open University). Its advantages are smaller class sizes, more personal attention, and relatively low tuition costs.
Camloops is a modern city of 83,000 people, located 365 kilometers from Vancouver. The city is distinguished by a safe, friendly and cozy atmosphere, extraordinarily beautiful nature and an exceptional climate. Low cost of living is also a great advantage of the city.

EQUIPMENT
The campus of the university occupies a huge territory - 92 hectares, on which there are many buildings. These are ultra-modern educational buildings, a science center, an arts center, computer labs, a library, a bookstore, canteens and cafeterias, a culinary arts training center, a clinic, etc. In addition, close to the university, just 10-15 walking distance to many places to sit and eat inexpensively. Nearby there is a ski resort, golf and fishing spots.
PROGRAM
Thompson Rivers University's educational life is managed by 8 main faculties, implementing over 100 different programs:
- Faculty of Humanities and Arts (Fine Arts, Geography, Journalism, Psychology, Sociology).
- Faculty of Business (MBA, accounting, economics, finance, HR management, marketing, MBA preparation, international business, entrepreneurship).
- Faculty of Computational Science and Technology (computer systems: management and administration, computer networks, database systems, software development).
- Faculty of Education and English (University Language Teaching, English and Communication, Academic English, English and Fine Arts, English and Accounting, English and Business, English and Economics, English and Computational Sciences).
- Faculty of Health Sciences (Nursing, Respiratory Therapy).
- Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Natural Resource Sciences, Veterinary Technology, Agronomy, Environmental Sciences).
- Faculty of Tourism (Tourism Management, Adventure Tour Organization, Event and Meeting Organization, Hotel and Resort Management, Food and Beverage Supply, Tour Coordination).
The university also offers programs with included practice (co-op, cooperative). To date, more than 300 students are being trained with the opportunity to practice at enterprises, and, moreover, get paid for labor.
Accommodation
Students are accommodated in single or double rooms with private bedrooms. There are also 4-bed apartments. As a rule, the bathroom, kitchen and living room are shared. The resettlement of girls and boys takes place separately, on different floors. An exception is possible only for married couples. At the residence, students have access to: Internet, recreation areas, 24-hour fitness center, laundry, storage room.
