King Edward's Witley

King Edward's Witley is a royal co-educational boarding school located in a calm and picturesque village in Whitley, Surrey, in the south of England. The school was founded by King Edward IV in 1553 in London, and named after this monarch. The school moved to its present building in 1867. The school is located on 100 acres of very beautiful countryside. It has convenient transport links with London, which is just an hour away, and southeast of England.

Certificate of general secondary education. 7 subjects are required for study, 3 subjects are studied by choice.

Pre-IB

The program is aimed at preparing foreign students for admission to the IB program (international baccalaureate). Duration - 1 year. The goal is to develop the language and learning skills required by the IB program.

IB (International Baccalaureate)

Preparing for university entrance. Designed as a unified European two-year course of study, the IB program was created to develop the personality as a whole. The level of knowledge of students who have completed this program meets the requirements for entrance exams to educational institutions in different countries. This course contains all the best elements of various educational programs, as it provides students with great academic opportunities and meets the most stringent academic standards.

In addition, an important part of the program is 3 key components: the theory of knowledge, the course “Creativity, Activities and Services” and an extended essay.

A-level

A two-year university preparation program. In the first year (AS), 4 subjects are selected for study from the list (higher mathematics may be added as the fifth subject in some cases). According to the results of exams after the first year of study, three subjects are selected for in-depth study in the second year (A2).

Tap dance. This is a dance for pleasure, which helps to develop coordination, footwork, musicality and a sense of rhythm. Classes focus on mastering rhythm, style and sound. We study the basic steps, their combination and the right techniques to create the perfect dance pattern.

Modern. It combines many different dance styles and techniques that help make the student a universal, strong and independent dancer. In the classroom, rhythm, coordination is studied, flexibility and the ability to properly present oneself on the stage develops.

Jazz. Fun, full of energy classes begin with a warm-up that develops strength, flexibility, and balance. The main part of the classes is focused on the study of the main jazz movements and their combination.
