Earlscliffe Sixth Form College
Earlscliffe College is a small private college for international students specializing in preparing high school students for admission to the best universities in the world.
The college occupies a beautiful old building built in 1870 and is located in the small town of Folkestone in the south-east of England (Kent). The railway station and the famous Leas promenade are within walking distance.
Folkestone is known as the gateway to Europe, it is located on the coast of the English Channel closest to France, but at the same time it is only an hour's drive from London. This seaside town is a favourite vacation spot for both British and visitors. It has a rather warm climate, lots of sun, beautiful beaches and a calm atmosphere.

PROGRAM
A-level
A traditional British pre-university program, often referred to as the "gold standard". The program lasts 2 years and prepares students for university admission. Students choose 4 or 5 advanced study subjects.
International Transition Year
Specialized program for international students (15+ years old) who need more in-depth preparation before starting their studies in the A-Level program. At the end of the training, you can take the GCSE exams. Students are engaged in a special program, where a lot of time is devoted to the English language, as well as the study of the desired academic subjects.
University Foundation
One-year pre-university course for international students (17+ years old, with IELTS 5.0+ language proficiency).
Two directions:
- humanitarian subjects (English and IELTS preparation, history or mathematics, economics, politics)
- sciences (English and IELTS preparation, mathematics, chemistry, biology or physics)
Academic English
A course for international students (15+ years old) who want to improve their knowledge of English. The program lasts from 1 to 3 semesters. The course is aimed at preparing students for training in basic programs, much attention is paid to the development of vocabulary necessary for academic learning.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation in a residence on the territory of the college. There are 4 houses here: 2 for girls and 2 for boys. All rooms are newly renovated, very bright and spacious. Most of the rooms are doubles with bathroom and toilet. Each student has his own wardrobe and work desk. The rooms have WI-FI.
In the main building and in each house, there is a common lounge with comfortable sofas, TV, games, table tennis, billiards and table air hockey.
SPORT
On Wednesday’s afternoons and weekends, students have free time for sports and activities. The college offers sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, squash, badminton and table tennis. They also play tennis and golf in summer. Near the school there is a gym and a swimming pool, where college students have free access.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
In addition to studies, the college offers many extracurricular activities for student development.
The Unified School Debating Competition is held annually. The competition has been held since 1950, and many of the winners have become famous lawyers, scientists, politicians, journalists and entrepreneurs.
Every year there is a UK mathematician competition with college students taking part.
The University of Cambridge Science Festival is held annually, where Earlscliffe College students participate in all lectures, exhibitions and interactive workshops taught by Cambridge scholars.
Politicians, musicians, artists, athletes, and philosophers often come to college with lectures. Each student can attend their public lectures.
