Summer Camp Village Camps is located in the vicinity of the picturesque alpine village of Piesendorf, in the famous Austrian resort of Zell am See, 90 minutes from Salzburg, 60 minutes from the airport in Munich. High mountains and numerous lakes, green hills and centuries-old glaciers - all this can be seen here.

Summer Camp Village Camps is for those who appreciate the beauty of nature, love active sports, want to make new friends, want to improve their knowledge of the German language and just have a great time.

EQUIPMENT

The territory of the camp is a vast space. Here are places to stay, football field, educational building, sports grounds. The town has an Olympic sports complex with tennis courts, a swimming pool, a castle with a climbing wall, a volleyball court, and a sports trampoline. Near the camp - the cleanest lake where you can engage in sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, swimming. Riding enthusiasts can ride horses.

PROGRAM

3 hours each morning is allocated for training according to the program chosen by the children. After lunch, all the children will have a rich program of sports and activity, and in the evening - an entertainment program.

Children choose one of the programs:

German / English

Teaching German or English takes place in small groups. The program includes 30 hours of language lessons in 2 weeks. In the afternoon, a variety of sports and entertainment programs are held for children, during which the language is practiced well and the knowledge learned during the lessons is consolidated.

Adventure camp

The program is characterized by a wide range of exciting events. Children will enjoy exciting adventures in the mountains and on the lake. Under the supervision of instructors, the guys can choose from sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, skiing, mountain biking, tennis, and much more. Excursions and evening events, including a magical night in the castle, a trip to Salzburg, to mountain waterfalls, active events on the picturesque alpine slopes will be unforgettable.

Film Academy

The program is for those who not only love cinema, but also dream of participating in the creation of this film. The guys under the guidance of experienced professionals create films, starting with writing a script, a selection of actors, staging the light and ending with the dubbing and editing of the film. The director of the program is Edward McDonald, producer and director of a large number of films, many of which won prizes at various film festivals. Program participants are trained in the proper handling of technical equipment on the set, the creation of special effects, the selection of locations for filming, if necessary, changing the storyline, removing takes.

IELTS-Prep

The International English Language Testing System (IETLS) is recognized by higher education providers as well as various governments and employers worldwide. The test itself focuses on four pillars of language learning which will be covered in Village Camp’s exam preparation programme. The programme will also cover testing strategies and time management that allow our campers finish their two weeks at camp feeling ready and confident.

If campers come to camp prepared to sit their IELTS and simply want to use the two weeks at camp to polish off and perfect their English Language skills, then VC will arrange their IELTS test registration at one of the accredited test-taking centres in Austria. These tests are roughly EUR 250 and this will be charged in addition to the camp price.

ACCOMMODATION

Stay at Notburgahof chalet with stunning views of the snow-capped peaks of the mountains. Children live in rooms of 2-5 people. A small number of children in the camp create a cosy atmosphere.

EXCURSIONS

Salzburg (Mozart's birthplace): visit to the Bishop Palace in Hellbrun, the salt mines in Hallein, shopping.

Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse: children will walk through meadows, forests, alpine pastures and finally see Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain (3,798 m.)

Krimml waterfalls: 3-stage waterfall 380 m high. Received in 1967 from the European Parliament a certificate of Nature Protection.

Overnight in the mountains: an exciting trek to the Austrian Alps with an overnight stay in a mountain cave, overlooking the valley below.
