The city of Vienna, known as the cultural capital of Europe, is a modern city with a peculiar charm, clean, safe and green, with excellent infrastructure. He creates all the necessary conditions for life and study.

Together with Zurich and Vancouver, Vienna is recognized by international organizations as the best city in the world. It is a city of culture, art and music, a tourist mecca on the Danube.

Due to the variety of cultural events and attractions, Vienna attracts tourists all year round. Famous attractions: the residence of the Hofburg emperors, St. Stefan's Cathedral, Schoenbrunn Palace, Belvedere Palace, magnificent buildings on the Ring Strasse, Hundertwasser House, Haas House, medieval streets and baroque squares. The summer break in the work of the Spanish Riding School, the Vienna Boys' Choir and theatres is compensated by typical summer activities: open-air cinema and Donauinsel attractions.

EQUIPMENT

Vienna's oldest school offers optimal conditions for study and entertainment. The school's campus is ideal for the ActiLingua Youth Program. The school is located in the centre of Vienna near the main metropolitan attractions. The building is well equipped. In the middle of the campus there is a large park that offers many opportunities for sports: courts and sports fields after classes are fully made available to students.

PROGRAM

• Summer course 1: 20 lessons per week.
• Summer course 2: 30 lessons per week (summer course 1 + 10 additional classes)

Classes are held in small groups (8-15) people from Monday to Friday. The duration of the lessons is 45 minutes. During classes, great attention is paid to grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening. One of the main principles of learning is to talk to each other as much as possible. The curriculum encourages students to communicate with teachers and classmates.

The distribution into groups according to language levels is based on a written test and an oral exam. A written test lasts 60 minutes. With its help, grammar, understanding of the text and writing in German are checked. It is attached to the reservation documents or is filled out online.

In the classes at the Academy, both the teaching aids of the Huber and Langenscheid publishing houses, and their own developments are used. Students have at their disposal all the latest teaching aids: computers with Internet access, a rich collection of DVDs, CDs, books and magazines dedicated to the German language, culture, regional studies, literature and economics. Independent work in the library and the media library will help consolidate the knowledge gained in the classroom.

Teachers at ActiLingua Academy are your friends and assistants who will be happy to teach their native German language. They regularly improve their qualifications in special courses organized by ActiLingua Academy.

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD

Accommodation at the standard summer school

The hostel is located in a summer school building near ActiLingua Academy. Girls and boys live in different blocks in 4-6 local rooms. Shower and toilet on the floor.

Accommodation in the summer school "comfort"

Directly on the summer school campus there are additional rooms equipped to a higher standard. All rooms are triple or quadruple, with their own shower, toilet on the floor. The rooms are furnished with comfortable and bright furniture.

Bed linen is provided. Towels must be brought with you.

Teachers are at school 24 hours a day! Pupils have the right to independently enter the city only with the written consent of their parents.

Three meals a day in a school restaurant.

Breakfast: a large buffet - fresh bread, pastries, ham, cheese, marmalade, tea, coffee, cocoa.

Lunch: appetizer, main course, dessert.

Dinner: usually a hot dinner at school, sometimes in the city or outdoors.

ENTERTAINMENT activities

Daily activities and an excursion program are the same training, only more interesting, enjoyable and effective. This is a practice! Pupils work out everything that they learned in the classroom. Passive stock becomes active!

After morning classes and evenings, students are offered a variety of leisure activities.

The program includes numerous sports games: football, beach volleyball, table tennis, Olympics, swimming in the pool or on the Danube island. Children can make or play music, learn to dance the Viennese waltz or take part in theatrical productions. Teachers also organize trips, film screenings, quizzes, picnics, discos, excursions, karaoke, holidays. The evening program includes: discos, picnics, music evenings, an open-air movie, a tour of Vienna at night, etc.

EXCURSIONS

Anyone who wants to get to know Austria better can take part in excursions - for example, to Salzburg, Wachau, Lake Neusiedlersee or Kreuzenstein Castle. Culture lovers will certainly be inspired by a weekly cultural trip to palaces, museums or the opera - accompaniment, informational assistance and tickets are included in the price. Concerts and music evenings are an integral part of the cultural life of Vienna.
